Steel Panther @ Royal Oak Music Theatre 12/22/12 (Photos, Setlist & Review)
By Alexis Simpson Members: MICHAEL STARR – Lead Vocals SATCHEL – Lead Guitar LEXXI FOXX – Bass Guitar STIX ZADINIA – Drums http://www.steelpantherrocks.com/ http://www.facebook.com/steelpantherkicksass/ Detroiters came to party for the Steel Panther concert at Royal Oak Music Theatre this past Saturday. The venue was packed with Detroit rockers in the mood to reminisce and participate in rock music from the 80’s. The male Steel Panther fans particularly outdid themselves. Much of the male audience was dressed in some sort of zany rock gear, many even in eye-catching spandex. A Steel Panther show is an event not to be missed. Steel Panther is known for their naughty humor and rambunctious on-stage…

Kenny Rogers “Christmas and Hits” Concert @ Fox Theatre Detroit 12/13/12 (Review, Setlist, & Photos)
American Icon, Kenny Rogers helped to bring Christmas to Detroit with his wonderful concert highlighting his greatest hits and holiday favorites. He drew a good sized crowd consisting of people of all ages that were easily charmed by Kenny’s engaging smile, twinkle in his eye and easy-going chatter between his songs. We give much respect to artists like Kenny Rogers still going strong and sharing music even after over fifty years of being in the music business. He sounded great, and was joined on stage by a group of accomplished musicians. Later in the show, a children’s choir, Divine Child Choir and special guest Billy Dean, performed with Kenny which…

Billy Talent @ St. Andrews’s Hall 12/1/12 (Photos & Setlist)
By Tracy Mailhiot Canadian rockers Billy Talent are currently on the road in support of their latest album, Dead Silence, which is their fourth studio album and the first to be produced by the band’s guitarist Ian D’sa. Billy Talent did not disappoint with their 19 song set. The crowd enthusiastically sang along to every song, including the newest releases. Crowd surfers constantly skimmed the surface of the mob beneath them while the security guys scrambled to control the scene. Be sure to check out the band’s website to find a show near you: http://www.billytalent.com/ http://www.myspace.com/billytalent http://www.twitter.com/billytalentband http://www.facebook.com/billytalent/ Benjamin Kowalewicz – lead vocals (1993–present) Ian D’Sa – lead guitar, vocals (1993–present) Jonathan Gallant –…

Death Grips @ Magic Stick 11/18/12 (Review, Setlist & Photos)
By Alexis Simpson All week we looked forward to blowing off steam at the Death Grips show at the Magic Stick in Detroit, MI. Today the Death Grips were deservedly awarded an accolade as Spin’s “Artist of the Year.” Their sound is intense, primal, guttural, bass-ridden, industrial, earthy, and delightfully unusual. Percussionist Zack Hill set the pulse of the night with his unrelenting drumming. Stefan “MC Ride” Burnett spouts his lyrics face to face with his audience and dances with wild abandon. This along with his lean, sweaty, and tattooed torso make for commendable stage presence. Death Grips have become media darlings of the music world due to their intense sound, devotion to their…
