Hell Yeah Grocery Delivery!
I started getting my groceries delivered due to my love of milk. I prefer to drink skim milk, but I often found myself buying 2% because the gas station down the street only has 2%. I also get annoyed when I come home to an empty fridge and I’m too tired to go grocery shopping. Oberweis had advertized their milk delivery service so I was quick to sign up. Soon after that, I tried Michigan Door to Door Organics. If you are the busy type and find yourself eating out too much, these services can save you a lot of time and money. If you’re in the Michigan area, check…

Club Paradise Tour: Drake @ DTE Energy Music Theatre 5/30/12 (Concert Review & Photos)
Metro Detroit’s DTE Theatre could not have fit one more Drake fan into the packed venue for Drake’s sold-out Club Paradise Tour. Detroit embraced the club theme as women tottered around in 5-inch heels and tight dresses, and the men sported their sharpest tees and sneakers. Alcohol instigated a full-on dance party and sly fans managed to sneak in enough cannabis for all the smokers. The club atmosphere was achieved as Drake was able to pull off performing and connecting with his audience as if everybody was inside a much smaller venue. Drake communicated a lot with his fans throughout the night and squeezed in as many of his hits…

Gogol Bordello @The Fillmore Theatre 5/26/12 (Photos, Concert Review, & Setlist)
The Gogol Bordello concert drew in all sorts of people to their Detroit show-motorcycle mamas, long-haired vagabonds, punk rockers, yups, harlots, drunkards, and hiphoppers. The spirit of Gogol Bordello rages on, as the eclectic group of fun-timers whooped it up and showed Detroit their kind of party. Show attendees raved about the energy, joy, and pure originality of Gogol Bordello. After the show, members of GB were seen enjoying food at local favorite, Bucharest Grill. Roni Size opened for Gogol Bordello and was later seen that evening at Detroit’s techno festival. Setlist: Intro Ultimate Sally Immigrant Punk Not a Crime Wonderlust King My Companjera Last One Goes the Hope Tribal…

The Avett Brothers @ Fillmore Detroit 5/18/12 (Concert Review, Setlist & Photos)
We first saw The Avett Brothers live at Orlando Calling last year (see photos here) and unanimously declared that they were one of the best performances of 2011. It was no surprise that they sold out Detroit’s Filmore last Friday. They had no opener and treated Detroit to a two-hour long set. Alcohol was flowing which helped the crowd sing and dance enthusiastically to every song. The Avett Brothers are pros at blending together an eclectic blend of music and delivering it live with unabashed pure joy.
