If you happen to like METRONOMY, MIDNIGHT JUGGERNAUTS or CAMDOGZZ, by all means please read on! After a four-year hiatus, Thieves Like Us return with their fifth eponymously titled record. The Swedish/American band, named after a New Order song, tracked and produced the new record in late 2015. Song of the Moment: “Same Love” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
This is the song that Michigan school teacher Susan Johnson got suspended for playing during class due to its message of love and acceptance for all including same-sex relationships. Mary Lambert sings the hook beautifully and horns and piano give the song a “poppy” feel. We are loving Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ new album Heist. Macklemore’s voice has an addictive sexy raspy tone to it, and the beats and hooks are ultra contagious.
