Major Lazer @ Miami’s Ultra Music Festival 2013
I had been waiting for my chance to photograph some big balls. I had assumed my opportunity would come whenever I photograph The Flaming Lips, but to my surprise I got to photograph Diplo’s big big balls! I’ve been a fan of Major Lazer for awhile. Why? 1. The music makes you feel good. 2. Diplo is F.I.N.E. The marriage of dance music with reggae is genius. The track “Original Don” is perfection. Even the darkest goth can’t help but to wiggle to this song. Trespass America Festival @ Meadow Brook Hall 8/4/12 (Photos & Review)
By Jacob Giampa Trespass America Festival came to Meadow Brook last week. Five Finger Death Punch headlined the tour with Killswitch Engage, and the openers: Trivium, Emmure, God Forbid and Battlecross. The tour is running till the end of August. Battlecross, the Michigan natives hit the stage first followed by God Forbid then Emmure, who are both on Victory Records. Trivium was next, this band was the most interactive with the crowd. The bass player, Paolo Gregoletto, was frequently leaving the stage to go play in the crowd. He even made it all the way up to the top of the hill and was rocking out in the mosh pit! This…
