Last Saturday at The New Dodge Lounge, Five Three Dial Tone threw a release party for Disarm The Settlers vol. II, a split 7″ featuring Nirvana covers as interpreted by Coyote Clean Up & Phantasmagoria. Joining them for this celebration were Revoir and The Vatican. Ben Blackwell is the nephew of Jack White and one of two drummers for The Dirtbombs. He also is in charge of vinyl production for Third Man Records. Motorcity Special is a Detroit label that records an array of Detroit artists at various venues around the city in order to release limited edition vinyl records. UDetroit Cafe hosted the Inside Outlaws on 12/9/11 and 12/10/11 so that Motorcity Special could put out another phenomenal record documenting the local Detroit music scene. The Inside Outlaws are an outstanding collection of singer-songwriters that collaborate together in order to inspire and support each other make wonderful music.
