By Alexis Simpson Members: MICHAEL STARR – Lead Vocals SATCHEL – Lead Guitar LEXXI FOXX – Bass Guitar STIX ZADINIA – Drums http://www.steelpantherrocks.com/ http://www.facebook.com/steelpantherkicksass/ Detroiters came to party for the Steel Panther concert at Royal Oak Music Theatre this past Saturday. The venue was packed with Detroit rockers in the mood to reminisce and participate in rock music from the 80’s. The male Steel Panther fans particularly outdid themselves. Much of the male audience was dressed in some sort of zany rock gear, many even in eye-catching spandex. A Steel Panther show is an event not to be missed. Steel Panther is known for their naughty humor and rambunctious on-stage…

Song of the Moment: “Same Love” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
This is the song that Michigan school teacher Susan Johnson got suspended for playing during class due to its message of love and acceptance for all including same-sex relationships. Mary Lambert sings the hook beautifully and horns and piano give the song a “poppy” feel. We are loving Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ new album Heist. Macklemore’s voice has an addictive sexy raspy tone to it, and the beats and hooks are ultra contagious.

Kenny Rogers “Christmas and Hits” Concert @ Fox Theatre Detroit 12/13/12 (Review, Setlist, & Photos)
American Icon, Kenny Rogers helped to bring Christmas to Detroit with his wonderful concert highlighting his greatest hits and holiday favorites. He drew a good sized crowd consisting of people of all ages that were easily charmed by Kenny’s engaging smile, twinkle in his eye and easy-going chatter between his songs. We give much respect to artists like Kenny Rogers still going strong and sharing music even after over fifty years of being in the music business. He sounded great, and was joined on stage by a group of accomplished musicians. Later in the show, a children’s choir, Divine Child Choir and special guest Billy Dean, performed with Kenny which…
