Insane Clown Posse, Potluck, Kung Fu Vampire @ Emerald Theatre (Review & Photos)
Last Saturday night at Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens, MI., Insane Clown Posse put on an impromptu show reminiscent of the jokers cards era due to the stripped down lighting and smaller stage. The simplicity of the venue brought the focus to the music in a favorable way. Metro Detroiters and even Juggalos from out of state spent their Saturday night playing around in Faygo as they listened to ICP’s song selections for the night. Saturday’s Juggalo party was the perfect summer family reunion before the Psychopathic family and Juggalos everywhere reunite for the 13th Gathering of the Juggalos in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois from August 8th thru the 12th. Also in…

Counting Crows @ Meadowbrook 6/22/12 (Photos, Review, & Setlist)
There is just something about Counting Crows that turns me into a sap. I bought August and Everything After when I was in high school. Back then CD’s were often purchased on a whim or because the album artwork looked interesting. I fancied myself pretty cool for “discovering” the band, and when I later overheard some guy in my Spanish class talking about their new album, I developed an instant crush. Ironically, five years later we ended up disastrously dating. Around that same time, my childhood friend and I headed off to our era’s Woodstock. Counting Crows was our favorite performance of the festival because despite the ridiculous temperatures and havoc of the…

Baroness Interview 6/23/12
Photo by Jacob Giampa We got the opportunity to ask Allen Blickle of Baroness a few questions in preparation for their new album Yellow & Green to be released July 17. Noize: Baroness recently played an impressive show in Detroit with Meshuggah and Decapitated…What did you think about the experience? Do you have any fond memories ofthe Detroit area or audience? (View Jacob Giampa’s review and photos from the show HERE.) AB: I remember that show having the smallest most cramped stage of the tour. My drum set had to be pushed all the way up to the front of the stage. I think I had a beer can thrown at me at some…

Hell Yeah Grocery Delivery!
I started getting my groceries delivered due to my love of milk. I prefer to drink skim milk, but I often found myself buying 2% because the gas station down the street only has 2%. I also get annoyed when I come home to an empty fridge and I’m too tired to go grocery shopping. Oberweis had advertized their milk delivery service so I was quick to sign up. Soon after that, I tried Michigan Door to Door Organics. If you are the busy type and find yourself eating out too much, these services can save you a lot of time and money. If you’re in the Michigan area, check…

Club Paradise Tour: Drake @ DTE Energy Music Theatre 5/30/12 (Concert Review & Photos)
Metro Detroit’s DTE Theatre could not have fit one more Drake fan into the packed venue for Drake’s sold-out Club Paradise Tour. Detroit embraced the club theme as women tottered around in 5-inch heels and tight dresses, and the men sported their sharpest tees and sneakers. Alcohol instigated a full-on dance party and sly fans managed to sneak in enough cannabis for all the smokers. The club atmosphere was achieved as Drake was able to pull off performing and connecting with his audience as if everybody was inside a much smaller venue. Drake communicated a lot with his fans throughout the night and squeezed in as many of his hits…
