Kenny Rogers “Christmas and Hits” Concert @ Fox Theatre Detroit 12/13/12 (Review, Setlist, & Photos)
American Icon, Kenny Rogers helped to bring Christmas to Detroit with his wonderful concert highlighting his greatest hits and holiday favorites. He drew a good sized crowd consisting of people of all ages that were easily charmed by Kenny’s engaging smile, twinkle in his eye and easy-going chatter between his songs. We give much respect to artists like Kenny Rogers still going strong and sharing music even after over fifty years of being in the music business. He sounded great, and was joined on stage by a group of accomplished musicians. Later in the show, a children’s choir, Divine Child Choir and special guest Billy Dean, performed with Kenny which…

By Tracy Mailhiot Canadian rockers Billy Talent are currently on the road in support of their latest album, Dead Silence, which is their fourth studio album and the first to be produced by the band’s guitarist Ian D’sa. Forty Art Wonders at The Chicago Institute of Art
By Alexis Simpson Last weekend we breezed through The Chicago Institute of Art and were in awe of the artwork. It is quite powerful to see a particular piece of art in person after seeing it a zillion times in photos. We compiled a list of some of our pieces. ACROBATS AT THE CIRQUE FERNANDO BY PIERRE-AUGUSTE RENOIR (FRENCH) (FRANCISCA AND ANGELINA WARTENBERG) OIL ON CANVAS, 1879: One of four permanent circuses in Paris, the Cirque Fernando opened in 1875. The two girls painted were ages 17 and 13. After their performance, the girls bowed and gathered up tissue-wrapped oranges tossed to them in appreciation. YOUNG WOMAN SEWING BY PIERRE-AUGUSTE RENOIR…
