William Control @ The Crofoot 2/22/13 (Photos & Review)

Wil Francis is William Control, writer, singer, producer, performer, and overall artist. He is currently on tour with Black Veil Brides in order to spread the word of his electronic music project. He performance at The Crofoot was very well-received by the sold out crowd. This is admirable because despite hardcore BVB fans anxiously awaiting Black Vil Brides to perform, William was still able to hold their attention and gain new fans. There aren’t many touring bands right now that excel at his genre of music, so his live performance is filling a gap in our current music scene.

Ryan Carll amazing show good job to William Control and BVB
Control’s set was lengthy and robust. He dominated the stage, while a guitarist accompanied him in the shadows. The lighting was quite dark and heavy on the strobes, with an occasional burst of color highlighting William Control’s face. His intensity level gave the impression that he wants people to remember him and his music. Wil’s stage name is fitting because he was able to transform The Crofoot’s vibe into a moody, sensual, and dark setting much like the scene at Detroit’s City Club. After his performance, William Control enjoyed the rest of his night by mingling with the crowd and soaking up the tour experience. Those with Spotify can check out his music HERE.
