I took the girls to the park the other day and had a blast. Gemma went down the slide over and over and Lola took a moment to close her eyes and have a zen moment on the swings. Kids these days are so smart! #springtime #girlmom

#happywomensday to me and all the ladies especially the single mom’s. My poor Paul is in the hospital w gastro issues of some sort and I’m home holding down the fort. Hopefully he gets out tomorrow but I also hope he is getting plenty of rest and peace ‘n quiet!

Last week we went to dance #2 at @birminghamfamily

Last week we went to dance #2 at @birminghamfamilyymca for #vday2025. Don’t they look sweet?;) 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷❤️❤️❤️❤️ RIP Roberta Flack. Loved your music. The first time I ever saw my honey’s face was electric. It was on my front porch after a bad date with somebody else. I had been talking to Paul online for a month or so and he finally came over and we drank a six pack on my porch and talked and talked. The chemistry was superb and neither of us were expecting it. We didn’t end up getting married until many years later and this summer we will celebrate our ten yr anniversary!

I took my own #lionking to see his first movie in

I took my own #lionking to see his first movie in a theater today. He loved it. I haven’t seen a movie in a theater in years and it was so loud and yes I know how old I sound haha! Of course it’s impossible to make it through an animal movie without crying but the 3D set in Africa was beautiful. It feels good to be home resting my neck and back because this ablation and epidural can’t come soon enough. I’m over having a real winter this year. It’s hurting my old bones😹

Hey! We got a #newfish. He is a Tangerine Koi #bet

Hey! We got a #newfish. He is a Tangerine Koi #betafish and we named him Kai. We got the aquarium for free off #buynothing and once he is used to a bigger aquarium we will get a little bit bigger one and use this one as the transition cleaning tank. He is precious. #funfact we saw Kai blowing bubbles and making a “bubble nest” which is something beta’s do when they are happy and looking to mate.

Rune and Lola loved it and Gemma looked a little scared but we are going to a different dance this Friday so hopefully she will relax and dance🩷 they had face painting, snacks and a great DJ. Wooo I bought these grout pens and redid the grout in our shower and it looks beautiful. I’m proud of myself since I’m not the best #diy kinda girl but maybe this will inspire me. Next project is to reglaze the tub and grout the areas that are too big for a pen. #mrsfixit

Time has been flying by and life has been busy. Ru

Time has been flying by and life has been busy. Rune and Lola learned a song and dance for a possible commercial ,) Gemma learned the dance too because any time a good beat comes on that girl is dancing away❤️ I had my first ablation test to see if it would fix my pain and it did! I felt like Cinderella because the test only takes the pain away for a few hours and then the pain comes back. My second test isn’t scheduled until a month from now ugh but I’m hoping it gets moved up because they have to wait another two weeks until the actual test and that’s a long time to be in pain. I love my water therapy;) my pt therapist is so down to earth and fun to talk to. I’m definitely a water baby because swimming is so relaxing and healing. #momlife

Lola had her first #gymnastics class at @birminghamfamilyymca this morning. Thanks to @ymcadetroit for putting together great youth programs and building a lovely sense of community. Everybody is so friendly and Lola loves the kids club. #feelingthankful #girlmom #mamaandme

We are going to join the @birminghamfamilyymca! I

We are going to join the @birminghamfamilyymca! I just need to do the paperwork. We have been looking for an affordable gymnastics place and they have other great kids programs too. I’m joining for the pool, barre class and they have a lot of extra space to do solo workouts. I also want to join @classpass for the ballet, dance and @specialtyaquatic classes. I’ll just have to take it easy until I can finally get my epidural yay. It’s nice to have so many choices locally❤️

Of course it’s impossible to make it through an animal movie without crying but the 3D set in Africa was beautiful.
