Freedom Hill Amphitheater hosted the eclectic inaugural Mo Pop Festival last Saturday in Sterling Heights. Besides two stages of music, Mo Pop Festival offered a craft beer garden, a food truck court, booths offering art for sale with artists painting on-site, and a sideshow featuring naughty burlesque dancers and other assorted performance artists. Standout performances included Detroit’s own Jamaican Queens and Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, Manchester Orchestra, Old Crow Medicine Show, Andrew Bird, and the charismatic and colorful Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes.
