Wayne White is an American artist from Tennessee who is documented in the film “Beauty is Embarrassing” which opens up in select theatres September 7th. Wayne worked on Peewee’s Playhouse, and has since done a lot of different creative things. We especially enjoy hearing him speak on the art world and what it means to be an artist. “You can get over-romanticized. You can get kind of self-pitying for yourself as an outsider. Oh nobody understands me blablabla..Of course they don’t understand you, go with it, love it you know, that’s what you’re there for not to be understood. An artist is an outsider and I think if you’re not ready to play that role then I don’t think your art is going to be very interesting”
