Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. @ Arts, Beats & Eats Festival in Downtown Royal Oak (Photos and Review) 9/2/2011

On Friday, I was excited to finally see for myself why Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is one of the most talked about emerging bands of the moment. They did not disappoint, in fact they were even more upbeat, fun and funky than I had realized since I had never seen them live before. Joshua Epstein and Daniel Zott came across on stage as laid-back, genuinely nice, but also awesomely talented. The guys encouraged the audience members to forget about how silly they may appear to their neighbor in the audience and let loose. It was entertaining to see a diverse crowd of young and old enjoying the performance. DEJ finished off their set with a quirky and clever cover of Whitney Houston’s “I wanna Dance with Somebody.” The band is set to start their Fall tour. It looks like Michigan has yet another musical success!
