Sean O’Donnell- bass, vocals

Yellowcard is so energetic that they had to prod the Detroit crowd to pick it up a little bit in order to keep up with the fast-paced band. Of course the most obvious thing that sticks out about Yellowcard is that they have a violinist in the midst of a punk pop/rock alternative band. Sean is a joy to watch because he seems to be having such a great time playing. The song “For You, And Your Denial” especially showcased Sean’s skills and was my favorite song of the night. Also notable was Parsons’ III drum solo. Parsons carries himself with some swagger so it wasn’t surprising when he hammered out a killer solo. Ryan made playing guitar look easy and Sean showed us his skills that earned him his recent spot in Yellowcard. Lastly, Ryan Key’s eternally youthful and charismatic voice successfully led the group through the night’s playlist. Yellowcard was a renewed group Sunday. Their exuberance showed that their reformation is a remarkable success and that the group takes a lot of pride in continuing to progress and put out top notch performances and albums.
